How can I start?
Provided you meet our age requirements, just show up! We meet at Colleyville City Park in Colleyville (info at bottom of page). The first three classes are free!
Requirements to Join
Age
Adults are free to participate without restriction. Teens 16 and older may participate with parental consent. Teens under age 16 are allowed to join if they are participating alongside a parent who is already a member of the club.
Clothing & Equipment
Wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring a bottle of water. If applicable, wear an athletic cup if you know you will be sparring. All other necessary safety and practice gear is provided by the club if needed.
Feel free to bring your own equipment. All gear owned and brought in by members is subject to safety inspection before being used for drilling and sparring. Wooden and Cold Steel training swords are not suitable for anything outside of solo practice. Please do not bring any sharp weaponry to our public practices.

Legal Requirements
All adult members will be asked to sign a liability waiver before participating. Minors must take this form home and have it signed by a parent or guardian. This form can be picked up at practice or emailed to you via our contact page.
Pricing
If you wish to continue with us after the first three classes there are a few payment options we offer. As long as we are meeting outdoors our prices are discounted.

Meeting Time and Place
VBHF meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:30PM-8:00PM. Feel free to arrive late or leave early. We currently meet at Colleyville City Park.
